Big Dog Steel Shipping Policy

Thank you for choosing Big Dog Steel — we appreciate your support! Below you’ll find everything you need to know about how we process and deliver your orders. 

Order Processing

  • Orders are processed within 1–4 business days once full payment reflects in our account.
  • Orders placed between Friday and Sunday will be dispatched the following week.
  • We do not dispatch or deliver on weekends or public holidays.
  • During peak periods, processing may take longer. If there’s a significant delay, we’ll notify you via email or WhatsApp.
  • For non-jewellery items, please allow an extra 3–5 business days for preparation.
  • Need your order by a specific date? Contact us on WhatsApp at +27 79 288 6462 before placing your order to confirm availability. 

Shipping Rates

  • Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout for full transparency. 

Shipment Confirmation & Tracking

  • Once dispatched, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking details so you can follow your parcel every step of the way. 

Damaged or Lost Packages

  • Big Dog Steel is not liable for items lost or damaged in transit.
  • Standard courier services do not include insurance.
  • If you’d like added peace of mind, we can arrange shipping insurance at an additional cost. 

SOUTH AFRICAN SHIPPING 

Methods

  • We ship exclusively with The Courier Guy and Pudo.
  • While we aim for prompt delivery, occasional delays beyond our control may occur. 

PO Boxes

  • We deliver to street addresses or Pudo lockers only.
  • Exceptions may be made for PostNet boxes, provided you arrange collection personally.
  • Please confirm this in advance. Big Dog Steel and The Courier Guy cannot be held responsible for parcels rejected by PostNet. 

Collection Option

  • Prefer to collect in Centurion? No problem!
  • Collection is available by prior arrangement — simply WhatsApp us at 079 288 6462 to schedule. 

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING  

  • Orders shipped outside South Africa may be subject to import taxes or duties charged by your country’s revenue services. These costs are your responsibility.
  • We ship via trusted air freight partners, but occasional delays may occur.
  • International orders are delivered to street addresses only (no PO boxes).
